Meet The Team

Bill F.

Bill has had a dog and/or cat at home ever since he was old enough to care for them. He and his wife  currently own two rescue dogs, which they’ve picked up from the streets of the various cities where we’ve lived.

Bill retired to the Coachella Valley, and a few years afterwards, began walking dogs and petsitting independently for the neighbors in our community. Pet’s Best Friend and Home Care became his our family’s “go to” petsitter for his personal pets, and now he's been working with our team since 2019.

Rhonda H.

Rhonda H. has been with our team since 2021, when she relocated to the Valley to be with her family. She's had over 30 cats & 5 dogs as companions throughout her life, as well as worked at shelters, a salon, and an animal hospital. When asked why she joined the team, she said, "This work feels like a calling for me- I have always loved animals and taking care of them gives me the greatest joy."

In her free time, she volunteers at the Coachella Valley Animal Campus, working with a professional Pet Photographer wrangling cats & kittens to do glamor shots that help them get adopted. She also likes to hike, swim, and practice French & Spanish.

Kevin A.

Kevin is a huge animal lover and has had either dogs or cats for most of his life.  His last pet was a Scottish terrier which I lost 10 years prior to joining our team in the fall of 2025.

He is now a mostly retired real estate agent, but he misses having a pet, so joined our team after having occasionally watched friends' animals when they have traveled for vacation to get my doggie fix.  

He isn't afraid to work for the affection of the more discerning animals either, having won over his friend's cat who wouldn't even let them touch her!

Lauren L.

Lauren is a life-long resident of the Valley and a lifetime pet owner, starting from early childhood. Her patient, calm demeanor is comforting for even the most fearful furkids, like dogs with anxiety and cats who tend to hide from other sitters.

When asked why she wanted to be part of our team, she stated, "The best part of this job is knowing that I make people feel comfortable and at ease while they are away from their pets. I want people to feel comfortable while they are away, knowing that their animals are in great hands. Keeping animals safe and happy are my top priorities."

Noah E.

Noah has been with our team for over 2 years and brings life-long pet ownership, passion for animals, and a longstanding love of the Valley.

Noah and his family have had over 20 pets in his lifetime, the entirety of which was spent here in the Coachella Valley, so he brings an understanding of the unique beauty of our desert, as well as the unique challenges the desert can bring to our pets.

In his spare time, Noah enjoys playing video games, climbing, dirt bike riding, golfing, or doing anything outdoors.

Roger A.

Roger is a sitter with 4 years experience with dogs and cats and 3 year experience with horses. He is a transplant to the Coachella Valley going on this fifth year where he finished his nationals certification in phlebotomy and is currently in exploratory study for his LVN nursing license.

Don’t be surprised if the animals enjoy his energy as he has been known to match theirs. His favorite hobbies include crocheting (a new skill) and watching Anime. His favorite animal activities include floor play/tummy time and outdoor fun like frisbee and ball fetch. 

Nancy W.

After retiring from Seattle Public Schools, Nancy returned to California, set up home in La Quinta and joined our team in 2019.

As a child, Nancy enjoyed playing and cuddling with my fur siblings. Today, she enjoys caring for our client pets, her granddogs, as well as swimming and golf.

When asked why she loves PBF&HC, she stated, "For a number of reasons this is the perfect job for me. All day long I spend time with dogs/cats. These fur friends are always happy to see me as I am to see them. Greeting me with tails wagging and loud purrs."

Preston C.

Preston joined our team in the spring of 2025 as a life-long animal lover. He currently cares for his two feline companions, Emmett and Vixen—each with their own distinct personality. He has a knack for connecting with even the most elusive “hiders,” turning initial wariness into trust and comfort.

When it comes to dogs, Preston finds pure joy in walking, running, and playing alongside them. He matches their energy with ease, whether they’re eager explorers or enthusiastic runners, and he understands the importance of giving them the freedom to sniff, play, and satisfy their natural curiosity.

Bob L.

Bob Lockard is a dedicated and reliable pet sitter with Pet’s Best Friend and Home Care, where he’s been caring for pets and homes for nearly four years. Known as Cathy’s Snow Bird, he spends his summers traveling the Pacific Coast, providing trusted house and pet sitting services wherever he goes.

Bob has experience with dogs of all breeds and sizes, as well as cats with all kinds of personalities—including two spirited Maine Coons who left quite an impression. He tailors his care to each animal’s needs, from walking high-energy pups to offering calm companionship during overnight stays. His clients value his dependability, friendliness, and meticulous attention to detail.

A lifelong animal lover and car enthusiast, Bob spends his downtime building diecast model cars, restoring Hot Wheels, and exploring his creativity through oil painting. With Bob, pet owners can travel confidently, knowing their pets will be cared for with warmth, patience, and genuine affection—and likely gain a new best buddy in the process.
